The problem of land disputes that occur between several community members in the Sugihwaras Hamlet, Bejen Village, Bejen District, Temanggung District related to land ownership can be resolved through mediation and the problem of prohibiting fragmentation can be resolved by land consolidation. The research objective is to find out the role of mediation in solving of agricurtural land disputes and to find out that consolidation can be used as a solution for solving the problem of agriculture land fragmentation.
This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, which explains the role of mediation to resolve land disputes and land consolidation as a solution to the problem of fragmentation. Researcher conduct analysis about the role / funtion of regulations regarding mediation and land consolidations and their implementation.
The result of research : first, The role of mediation on solving land dispute that is can give a result of profitable deal for all parties without harmed another. Second, Land consolidation can be used as a solution for the problem of fragmentation prohibition by regulating and adjusting the using of land according to RTRW that is a settlement so the people can have a certificat of their land and given rights to their land.
