Needs for food and settlement are basic needs of each people which is often at odds. That is because to fulfill both require land. Development in the present is often prioritize settlement needs than food, so that decreases farmland. It encourages the emergence of a policy to protect agricultural land, one of which is Sustainable Protection of the Food Agricultural Land (LP2B). LP2B need farmland data which is targeted to be maintained. Therefore, the study entitled "Agricultural Land Availability for Development Zonation to Knowing Potential Agricultural Land Use Change become Non-Agricultural In Depok, Gamping, and Mlati District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region" give consideration to determine the object of LP2B. This study aims to (1) an inventory of agricultural land available, (2) to show the factors that influence the conversion of land use from agricultural land into non-agricultural, and (3) analyze the availability land maps and driving factors of land use conversion so obtain a picture of the potential conversion of agricultural land which is available in Depok, Gamping, and Mlati District.
The research method used is quantitative research methods spatial approach. The method used in data collection is by using image interpretation and maps and document research. The analysis technique used in this research is using overlay and statistical analysis techniques. Overlay analysis technique used on the 2009 and 2015 Land Use Map, Overview Land Tenure Map and Detailed Spatial Plan Map to meet the first objective of this research. Statistical analysis techniques used to answer the second objective of this research. To answer the third research purpose is used overlay analysis technique the availability result and the factors that influencing the change of farmland use into non-farmland.
The results of this research are the availability of agricultural land in Depok, Gamping, and Mlati 2015 only amounted to 22.867% of the total area. The change of agricultural land use into non-agricultural, especially irrigated fields is
significantly influenced by several factors: the type of roads, housing developments, and the number of facilities. The rate of change of agricultural land use into nonagricultural categories quickly in Depok, Gamping, and Mlati District located in
the Caturtunggal, Condongcatur, Maguwoharjo, Banyuraden, Nogotirto, Trihanggo, and Sendangadi village. The rate of change of agricultural land use into non-agricultural average category in Depok, Gamping, and Mlati District located in Ambarketawang, Balecatur, and Sinduadi Village. The rate of change of agricultural land use into non-agricultural slow category in Depok, Gamping, and Mlati located in the Sumberadi, Tirtoadi, and Tlogoadi village.
This study contributes to the development of land information provided by the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Affairs / National Land Agency especially in the Land Use Administration Section. This study can be considered by the Land Use Administration Section to assist the local Agricultural Office so mechanisms for determining LP2B can run smoothly. The mechanism is the socialization of the subject and object of LP2B.
