Land redistribution systems implemented locally in Ngandagan Village Pituruh District of Purworejo carried out on �kulian� land that mastery exceed the maximum provision of land ownership determined by the village government. The right to work of land taken by the village government to be distributed to farmers who have no land. Mapping of Buruhan Land was conducted in order to maintain the sustainability of the system of redistribution and material consideration in land tenure of Buruhan Land arrangement. The study entitled �Kajian Penguasaan Tanah Melalui Pemetaan Tanah Buruhan Dengan Metode Penginderaan Jauh Dan Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Geografis di Desa Ngandagan Kecamatan Pituruh Kabupaten Purworejo�aims to determine: (1) distribution of spatial, including the number, location and spacious areas and serf buruhan Village Ngandagan; (2) determine buruhan land utilization actively by tenants as the ruler of buruhan analyzed through behaviors, patterns,
and cropping systems implemented by serf buruhan.
The method used in this research is qualitative method. Behavior analysis carried out by tenants is done by using the perspective of Action Theory. Data collection method used is the study document, satellite imagery interpretation, field
observation and interviews. Methods of data analysis in this study is a qualitative analysis implemented by way of a thorough review of the initial data, reduce and abstraction of data, classifying the information unit of the smallest in its category,
and prepare statements logically proportioned from every category. The results showed that: (1) The number of parcels of Buruhan Land in the village Ngandagan are 143 parcels of land which is entirely in the form of rice land and scattered in
paddy fields in the village of Ngandagan. Buruhan Land overall comprehensive land is 7.579 ha. Buruhan Land occupied by 120 tenants; (2) Buruhan Land actively cultivated by Buruh Kulian by applying crop rotation rice-rice-soy / green beans.
Awareness for Buruhan Land actively cultivate land and the principles and rules in buruhan cultivate land owned by the workers kulian. The cropping pattern is applied to single cropping pattern (monocropping). The method used is a combination of
traditional methods with modern technologies. Conditions limiting the active exploitation of Buruhan Land by Buruh Kulian is lack of legal certainty, natural factors, economic factors, and physical limitations of Buruh Kulian.
Research that has been carried out is expected to provide input information and the spatial distribution of land ownership buruhan thus proving mastery over land tillers buruhan. Buruhan land ownership mapping, among others, can be used
as a means of supporting the dissemination and promotion of local villagers who implement policies with the concept of land reform. Kementerian Agraria dan Tata Ruang/Badan Pertanahan Nasional as the implementing agency reform can make it
as an input for implementation of land reform in a larger scale.
