Participative mapping in Village of Donotirto Sub District of Kretek District of Bantul Province of Special Region of Yogyakarta is performed on initiative of PPM-STPN with community. This research�s objectives are to learn the implementation of participative mapping and to learn what benefits can be earned from implementation of participative mapping related to the low of community contribution and limited infrastructures as well as lack of human resources in Donotirto Village in regard of area mapping in Donotirto Village Kretek Sub District District of Bantul Province of Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Research method used was qualitative method with descriptive approach. Analysis technic used was by preparing proportional statements logically to answer the research questions. First problem analysis was conducted by drafting statements to describe stages of participative mapping implementation, who the executors are, and what technic used in participative mapping in Donotirto village. Second problem analysis was conducted by drafting statements to describe benefit obtained from the implementation of participative mapping in Donotirto village.
Based on research result can be discovered that 1) Implementation of participative mapping in Donotirto Village was an activities conducted in context of development of land database at village level. Participative mapping in Donotirto village was performed by 15 Young Organization members of Busuran sub village; 2) Result of the participative mapping in Donotirto Village was put
forth on participative mapping field data forms; 3) Result of participative mapping was in form of P4T map, the input data was derived from data existing in participative mapping field data forms; 4) Method/Technic used in the mapping was digital mapping. Result of map analysis suggested that majority of land in Donotirto village was occupied by the owner himself. The land utilization has been conformed to the use, namely dominated for residencies.
Based on research activities that have been conducted then this research is useful for Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial/National Land Agency specifically Land Office that is the availability of a land that can be used as basic data of mapping and optimization of participative spatial structuring implementation. Through participative mapping availability of basic data of land subject and object can be fulfilled.
