The procurement of land for establishing Arung Palakka Airport was totally 60 hectares with 116 peoples are the authority holder of the land based on �Perpres No. 36 Tahun 2005 jo. Perpres No. 65 Tahun 2006�. The procurement of land to establish this airport has affected many aspects of society life such as social and economic in Mappalo Ulaweng Village which is the location for establishing the airport. Having the procurement of land and establishment, the society of Mappalo Ulaweng Village was doing any strategy for a new life such as the alteration of work activity. Based on this case, the goal of this research are to know the alteration of social economic and the profit toward the society after the establishment of Arung Palakka Airport using qualitative method of research with rationality approaching.
This research finds several things i.e. the compensation of land just fits with society willingness and effective communication is the successful key of the procurement of land. That�s why the society feels the profit after the establishment
of the airport such as improvement in quality of roads, just gives the opportunity for society to get any kinds of job, the value of land just increased and more attentions given to establish Mappalo Ulaweng Village. The materialized of social
economic alteration just give more strength to society in quality and quantity of social pattern and the society becomes intensively in participating of any kinds of activity. Another social economic alteration is increasing realization about
education and work activity just increased to do side job in order for improving the passive income.
Based on this research and analyze to the site, the writer concluded that having Arung Palakka Airport was established just take any profits and positive social economic alteration toward the society of Mappalo Ulaweng Village. Those caused by successful in land procurement process. The writer fully hopes that the results of this research could be applied as a
consideration matter in order for taking any policy that be related to land procurement to establish the public importance. The result of this research suggests to The Committee of Land Procurement to do cooperation with The Land Affairs of controlling and society empowering section to do monitoring and evaluating about the condition of social economic society after the procurement of land and the establishment of airport.
