sustainably and its objectives are to provide land information, organize the administrative order and provide legal certainty guarantee in land. Land registration activity was initialized with data collection and ended with strong evidence (certificate). The nature of legal certainty guarantee is embodied with land book and measurement letter existing in the Office. The storage of the book record land and measurement letter is necessary to be conducted in manifesting legal certainty guarantee. In land regulation Article 35 Paragraph (5) Government Regulation 24 Year 1997 and affirmed in Article 184 PMNA 3 Year 1997 enables to perform storage of land book and measurement letter digitally. The storage of land document digitally is important to be conducted as it will facilitate in the storage and extending the documents age. Legal study needs to be conducted on digitally storage regarding its legal certainty of a digital document.
The objectives of this research are to discover the legal certainty of the land book and digital measurement letter, the authenticity of the digital documents and digitalization implementation in Land Office of Sleman District. This research used juridical normative and juridical empiric by using statute and qualitative approach. Data analysis was performed by classifying relevant legal material and was supported with the result of field observation and interviews.
Research result indicated that the land book and measurement letter in form of digital if studied based on relevant law and regulation has the same legal force with an authentic deed as well as can be made as legal evidence at Court.
Land Office of Sleman District carries out digitalization since 2013, recorded amounted to 516.209 land books and 52.962 measurement records have been digitalized.
