The development of housing in Indonesia at present is very rapid. The development is also happening in Serang City. To accommodate this development then the housing construction is conducted. The housing construction requires a suitable physical location of the land in order the activity currently taking place can be run productively and efficiently. The aims of this research are to determine the suitable location for the housing physically and to discover distribution spatially suitable location that conform physically for housing construction to the Area Spatial Plan (RTRW). Research method used was quantitative method with spatial approach. Analysis technique used was overlay and total rating. Determinant variable of the land physical suitability for the housing construction that has been determined namely slope, effective depth, land texture, drainage, erosion, land use, distance to important places, road network availability, local water company network availability, and electricity network availability overlaid spatially and attributed by using Software ArcGis 10.1 for further yielded Land Physic Conformity Map For Housing Development in Serang City. The map then analyzed its distribution pattern spatially location match for the housing development and then matched to the Serang Area Spatial Plan Map Year of 2010-2030. Based on research result and analysis, then it is discovered that 1) by conducting map overlay analysis and total rating from ten land physical conformity variables that have been determined previously can be determined suitable location for housing construction. Location that suited for the housing construction is located in almost entire Serang City with very suitable criteria over 35,11 km2 or about 13 % of total area of Serang City which dominantly appear in Taktakan, Serang and Kasemen Sub District and suitable criteria over 229,26 km2 or by 87 % of total area Serang City appear in almost entire Serang City 2) according to the land physically, the distribution pattern spatially that very suited for the housing development has a grouping and lengthwise the road or area that have local water companies area distribution pattern, whereas the distribution pattern spatially the location suited for the housing construction spread evenly in Serang City area. After it was matched with the RTRW location distribution pattern for housing development was still grouping, but no longer following road network, instead following area pattern on RTRW map.
