This research aims to: (1) Determine the pattern of area increases and changes of area differences as effect of marks amounts differences which are planted along the curve; (2) Determine the amount of marks which are required to meet the area tolerances which is specified in the Technical Instructions of BPN in PMNA / KBPN No. 3 in 1997�s, and to be installed for practical purposes during the first measurement and reconstruction, so that marks can represent the actual area of parcel. Method of this research is comparitif experimental method. Parcels which have arc boundary models were made in certain specifications, then simulation of marks planting held by mounting one to fifteen marks on each parcels models. The areas due to the installation of any number set of marks are calculated using AutoCad and regular polygon area formula which is specially modified for this research. Area increases and differences are depicted graphically to see their pattern. Each area result is compared to area tolerances in PMNA / KBPN No. 3 of 1997�s and rounded decimally to find which one is meet actual area. This step has purpose to know which amount of marks that are comply both of standart. Based on this research, its is found that: (1) The area increases and area differences changes which are caused by increasing marks amounts have unlinear patterns, both of them shape simple open curved which belowed open; (2) Curve approching method using regular polygon geometry can be applied to meet the area tolerances which was set by the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial / National Land Agency in PMNA / KBPN No. 3 of 1997�s; (3) Effectives areas of parcel which has blunt arcs in this research starts when the amount of mark are 2, in parcel which has normal arcs, it starts when the amount of mark are 7, and in parcel which has sharp arcs, it starts when the amount of mark are 13; 4) The amount of marks along the arc that meet area tolerances and effectives areas can be determined using regular polygon area formula which is specially modified for this research.
