Collaborative mapping of Community-Based Land Management (MPBM) is conducted on initiatives of National Land Agency Province of Central Java and the community. The objectives of this research was to discover the implementation of collaborative mapping, creation of Land Occupation, Ownership, Use and Utilization Map (Map P4T) and potential of collaborative
mapping activities in supporting land registration in Tolokan village, sub district of Getasan, district of Semarang.
Research method used was qualitative method with descriptive approach.
Analysis technique was performed by drafting proportional question logically to answer the research questions. Analysis of first problems was conducted by drafting statements to describe stages of collaborative mapping implementation,who the implementer were, and what mapping technique was used. Analysis of second problems was conducted by describing input data being used, stages of Map P4T creation, P4T map analysis. Analysis of third problems was performed by exposing the collaborative mapping result that has been used by community and government Tolokan village as well as its potential in supporting land registration.
Based on research result it was discover that 1) MPBM collaborative mapping was an activity in building land database in village level which initialized with socialization and team forming, team provision and training, data collection, verification, legalization, use and utilization as well as result development. Collaborative mapping was conducted by a team with 9 members comprised of 4 youngsters as Assessor Team and 5 village elders as Verification Team. Result of MPBM collaborative mapping was put forth in form of Register Book A containing land database in contextual and Register Book B in form of Plots Map attached with the signs of its boundaries agreement; 2) Result of collaborative mapping in form of P4T Map, input data was derived from data existing in Registration Book A and B. Mapping technic used in mapping creation was digital mapping. Result of map analysis showed that majority of land plot at Tolokan village was occupied by their owner with status of ownership still in form of customary land. The utilization of the land has in conformity with the use, namely the land use was dominated for agricultural business; 3) Result of MPBM collaborative mapping in supporting land registration including subject basic data provision and land object, minimize land disputes, optimization of participative spatial implementation, accelerate the creation of National Land Information System and Management (SIMTANAS). However, it needs the existence of operational legal foundation to carry out this activity thus the result can be acknowledged by the government (BIG) as thematic geospatial information.
