All this time there are still many societies still not familiar with the land service. In addition, negative stigma of complicated procedure, long period in processing it, as well as expensive cost need to be incurred to obtain certificate are
also critical issues need to be fixed immediately. One of way can be taken to overcome those issues is by improving quality of information service in different way, namely by utilizing smartphone that has been widely spread among the community. Android-based Smartphone can be made as an alternative way in providing services to community as has been conducted by the Surabaya I Land Office beforehand. Therefore research with objectives are to built an Android- Based Land Service Information application was conducted (A Study at Surabaya I City Land Office).
This research used research and development method. This method was used to yield Android Operation System-Based Land Service Information application and to test the effectiveness of the product. In building the application it was required data through interview and documentation study. The data was in form of spatial data (Administrative Map) and land service data (cost calculation formula, requirements and time period).Next stage was the creation of Android application by using tool software developer configuration including Eclipse,Standard Development Kit (SDK), and ArcGIS Android SDK. After that test toward this application which was built based on interview to respondent was conducted.
Land Cases Distribution Information System application that has been built can provide a facility in accessing information concerning land service requirements, time period and cost. Furthermore through this application user could also access interactive online map containing information of work area, address and phone number of Surabaya I City Land Office. This application has many benefits, either for society or for the Surabaya I City Land Office itself.
